The Florida State University baseball team ended the regular season with a win in the series against Georgia Tech. Now that the 2024 ACC Baseball Tournament begins, FSU is ready to take on Georgia Tech once again.
The Seminoles (39-14, 17-12 ACC) are the No. 5 seed in the ACC Tournament and the Yellow Jackets (31-21, 15-15) are the No. 9 seed. Georgia Tech will play No. 4 seed Virginia on Wednesday, while FSU waits until Friday to play the Cavaliers. The team with the best performance will advance to Saturday's semi-finals.
ACC Player of the Year James Tibbs III went 3-for-9 for FSU in last weekend's series and hit his ACC-leading 24th home run. Meanwhile, All-ACC Second Teamer Cam Smith went 7-for-12 with seven hits and seven runs scored, giving him 70 points on the season. Pitcher Jamie Arnold pitched six and one-third innings, allowing 11 hits and two walks, but gave up just three runs in Thursday's victory.

Georgia Tech's All-ACC first-teamer Drew Burress hit 5-for-12 for his 22nd home run of the season, while second-teamer Matthew Ellis also hit 5-for-12 for his 16th home run of the season. Edan Finatelli allowed five runs in five innings in Thursday's loss.
