Freeland improved to 10-2 heading into Saturday's two games against Gladwin and Alpena, with a dominant win over Sanford Meridian.
The Falcons overwhelmed Meridian 12-2 in the opening game and won the second game 9-5.

In the first game, Sam Keillor allowed six hits and struck out three to win the game.
Daniel Dury, Colin Dee, Liam Lamp, Tucker Heilman and Brady Shavernock each had two hits, and Dury and Dee each scored three points.
In the second game, Jake Metiva, Dee, Duley, Shavernock and Jacob Clawson each had two hits, with Clawson getting the win. Metiba scored three points for the Falcons.
Brock Creek 16-10, Michigan Lutheran Seminary 1-3: Brock Creek took the MLS by storm, winning Game 1 with Connor Curtis pitching four no-hitter innings with seven strikeouts. Zane Schwartz led the offense with two hits, two walks, and three RBIs. Cale Snyder also pitched a no-hitter as the Lancers won Game 2. For Brock Creek, Jackson Flowers had three hits and three RBIs, and Zane Schwartz and Andrew Whittington each added two hits and three RBIs.
North Branch 7, Swan Valley 4: John Mayette led Swan Valley with three hits and one RBI, and Colton Cline added two hits, including a two-run double in the loss.
Alma 7-5, Shepard 5-0: Jack Chiodini had four hits in the opening game, leading Alma to victory in Game 1. Owen Seeley took the mound, pitching five innings with two hits and no runs, earning the win. Blend Palmer, who pitched no runs in the 5th inning, added two hits in the second game as well. Chiodini also had two hits for the Panthers.

St. Louis 19-14, Valley Lutheran 3-1: In St. Louis, Paige Lunecke pitched two one-hitters and won two games. Lunek had eight strikeouts in the opening game and 10 in the second. For St. Louis, Bryn Saxton had three hits in the opener, and Hal Hoyt, Monica Boley and Kennady Henry each added two hits. Lunec scored four runs and Tekoha Henry hit his first home run of the season. In the second game, Hoyt had three hits and Henry had two.
Coleman 16-13, Carson City-Crystal 7-3: In Game 1, Nevaeh Chaffee had four hits, including three triples, and Maddie Miller had nine strikeouts to earn the win on the mound. Miller and Eva Gross each had three hits for Coleman, while Timea Middleton and Isabelle Dyle each added two hits. Gross, who won Game 2, had three hits, including a triple, and Chaffee had three hits and two triples in three at-bats. Harley Latimer also had three hits.

Midland High 2, New 1: After a scoreless first half, Alana Beckett scored off a corner kick from Elizabeth Striebel to give Midland High School the lead. After Nouvel tied the score, Beckett scored the winning goal with five minutes remaining in the 4-1-1 Chemix.

Bulldog Invitational: Chesaning freshman Luke Scarid earned medalist honors at the Bulldog Invitational at Twin Brooks Golf Course in Chesaning, leading the Indians to the team title with a 357. New Lothrop finished second with a 370. Jeffrey Cox of St. Charles and Charlie Clover of Chesaning finished tied. 2nd place was 89 seconds. Hunter Wolf of New Lothrop was fourth with a score of 90, and Quintet Everett of Chesaning was fifth with a score of 92.
