Spotsylvania County: Route 1 northbound on Route 606 (Mud Tavern Road): Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. One lane of National Route 606 is closed due to widening construction. The northbound right turn lane to eastbound Mudd Tavern Road will be closed.
- Route 3 (Plank Road), Route 621 (Orange Plank Road): 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to noon Friday. One-lane traffic closure due to intersection renovation project.
- Route 601 (Lewiston Road): Alternating lane closures and markings Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Construction of high friction surface treatment and pavement marking work near Mica Mine Road.

- Route 674 (Chancellor Road): Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Milling and paving. Alternating one-way traffic between Old Plank Road and Gordon Road will be directed by flag bearers.
- Route 711 (South Point Parkway): One lane closed between Route 1 and Pacific Drive, Tuesday through Friday, 3 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Bridge work as part of South Point Parkway widening and improvements.
- Route 721 (Grand Brooks Road): Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Alternating lane closures between Attorney Road and Stubbs Bridge Road for Cape Seal surfacing. Alternating one-way traffic will be guided by flag crews and pilot trucks.
- I-95 Southbound Exit 126 Exit Ramp and Route 1 Southbound: A second right turn lane from the I-95 southbound Exit 126 exit ramp to Route 1 southbound is under construction. Route 1 southbound has been widened from the exit ramp to South Point Parkway, adding a right-turn lane. A second right-turn lane will be added from southbound Route 1 to South Point Parkway. Traffic islands will be installed along South Point Parkway as a safety improvement and will allow left turns into driveways, but will restrict through and left-turn traffic exiting side streets. A right-turn lane has been added to Route 1 southbound South Point Parkway. The project is expected to be completed in August 2025.
- Route 3 and Orange Plank Road: Work began on Wednesday, May 8 to change the intersection of Route 3 and Orange Plank Road. Shift to new traffic patterns to increase safety, improve traffic flow and reduce collision points. The project will be completed in summer 2024.
- Route 17 (Mills Drive) Viaduct Replacement and Widening: Construction began in December 2020 to replace the existing two-lane interstate viaduct on Route 17 with a four-lane bridge. Route 17 is widened to four lanes to just east of the Hospital Boulevard/Germanna Point Drive intersection. As part of this project, shared paths, sidewalks and pedestrian crossing facilities will be installed. Completion of the project was scheduled for late February 2024, but the project is currently scheduled to be completed in summer 2024.
- Route 208 (Courthouse Road) and Hood Drive: Hood Drive will be reduced to one lane between Route 1 and Route 208 (Courthouse Road) to northbound traffic only. Southbound traffic should follow the detour marked along Courthouse Road and Route 1 southbound. A future Veterans Health Administration clinic will be built and new turn lanes are under construction. Additional turning lanes will be constructed on northbound Hood Drive approaching Courthouse Road. Raising the median on Hood Drive will separate northbound and southbound traffic between Courthouse Road and McGowan Drive. Sidewalks, crosswalks, and pedestrian crossing equipment will be added to the intersection. The project is expected to be completed in June 2024.
- Widening of Route 606 (Mud Tavern Road): Mud Tavern Road is being widened to four lanes between I-95 and Route 1. A new secondary access route, Route 2092, will be constructed parallel to Mud Tavern Road and connect to South Roxbury. Mill Road and Dumbbell Lane. The project is expected to be completed in May 2025.
Stafford County: Augustine North Subdivision: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Milling and paving various routes throughout the Augustine North Subdivision between Courthouse Road and Mountain View Road. Reporters direct traffic through the work zone.
- Route 635 (Decatur Road): Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Alternating one-way traffic on Decatur Road due to Cape Seal surfacing between Indian View Road and Norman Road. Sign installers and pilot trucks direct traffic through the work area.
- Route 658 (Brent Point Road): Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Alternating one-way traffic on Brent Point Road from Arkendale Road until state maintenance ends due to Cape Seal resurfacing. Sign installers and pilot trucks direct traffic through the work area.
