Monterey County beaches were named one of the best beaches in the United States by Travel and Leisure magazine, and three other California beaches also made the list. This ranking was for Carmel Beach in Carmel-by-the-America as the 25th Best Beach in the United States. -The sea made the list. “Located at the foot of Ocean Avenue, this stunning white sand beach is a popular surfing spot. Visitors can enjoy a dip in the cool, clear water with views of Pebble Beach to the north and Point Lobos to the south. ” said Travel and Leisure. Other California beaches that made the list were: Pope Beach Santa Monica Beach in Lake Tahoe Coronado Beach in San Diego The Golden State had the most beaches on the list.
