The sci-fi horror video game Fort Solis is being adapted into a movie by directors Andre Hedetoft and Andreas Tollesson.
Last August, developers Fallen Leaf and Black Drackar Games teamed up with publisher Dear Villagers to bring to the world a sci-fi horror video game called Dear Villagers. Fort Solisdirected by James Tinsdale and starring Roger Clarke (red dead redemption 2), Julia Brown (world on fire) and Troy Baker (the last of us). Now, Fallen Leaf and Black Drucker have signed a deal with Studio Extraordinaires to develop film and television adaptations, with director duo Andre Hedetoft and Andreas Troesson. Fort Solis movie!
Hedetoft told IGN they were drawn to the material because:It's a super cinematic immersive experience when you play it, it's got amazing characters and actors brought to life in the game, it's got really creative people behind it, and I think it's just a dream project. This story also features some of the most interesting characters I've ever seen, and as a viewer or player, you'll be introduced to some really interesting moral dilemmas, ethical issues, sci-fi suspense mysteries and You will be thrown into the conflict.“
Mr. Tolleson added: Fort Solis This is a great combination of science fiction, suspense, characters trapped in a very remote location, and mystery.We really don't know who is right and who is wrong.“
Description “Month meet Dead Space” video game is set in 2080 and has the following settings: Jack Leary and Jessica Appleton, scientists at a human colony on Mars called Fort Miner, are preparing for an impending storm when they receive an emergency alert from the nearby mining site Fort Solis. Leary heads to respond, only to discover that the fort is sealed off and there is no sign of the crew. As he explores the base, he encounters bloodstains and signs that he is not alone, and eventually discovers the bodies of several of Solis's crew, each suffering from stab wounds. Leary heads to the maintenance bay to restart the generator, but is attacked by Fort Solis' chief officer, Wyatt Taylor. Appleton, who remained in contact with Leary by radio, was now on his way to Fort Solis. As soon as she enters the base, she encounters Taylor, who attacks her, but she is able to escape. Appleton begins searching the base in search of Leary. As her girlfriend investigates, Taylor taunts her with her radio transmissions and attempts to lure her into her station's greenhouse. As Appleton explores the station, he finds the remaining crew members dead, each apparently killed as well. Hedetoft and Troedson are currently playing the game over and over while discussing the story they want to tell in the film, finding answers to questions such as:Is this story based on the game or an extension of it?
