ofTCU horned frog undertake the Texas Tech Red Raiders From April 12th to 14th. Here are the key Texas Tech baseball players that TCU fans should know about before the series.
Possibly pitching rotation:
Friday – #42 Kyle Robinson
Junior right-handed pitcher from Vienna, Virginia.
The 6-foot-6 senior right-handed pitcher has had decent numbers this season. Robinson is pitching solid innings, but he has allowed quite a few hits this season. When he's been great this season, his walks and hits have been limited. He maintains a 4.10 ERA, which isn't terrible, especially at this point in the season, but Texas Tech will likely play him longer against TCU to minimize the need to head to the bullpen. All you need is that.
Saturday – #48 Mack Heuer
Freshman right-handed pitcher from Greensboro, Georgia.
The 6-foot-5 right-hander has been solid as a freshman this season. Hoyer pitched 34 innings, posting a 5.03 ERA with 36 strikeouts and 12 walks. He's giving the Red Raiders decent innings. But he felt it the most after six innings this season. If he can pitch a solid five innings, things will be a lot tougher for TCU, because this Texas Tech offense is really good. The Horned Frogs will be trying to get to him early, so he won't have time to stay calm for long in this game.
Sunday – #56 Jack Washburn
Redshirt Junior, right-handed pitcher from Webster, Wisconsin.
Washburn wasn't necessarily a bad player for the Red Raiders, but he struggled to get past four innings. But the 6-foot-2 redshirt junior will likely commit to Texas Tech on Sunday. Texas Tech will be required to pitch at least four solid innings in this matchup. He's coming off a start that lasted only one inning. “He gave up two runs on three hits. He has the ability to give this team four decent innings, but it depends on how he settles into the game. He maintains a 6.91 ERA. We've got to take advantage of him and score early.''They need to go to the bullpen, but if they can do that, they'll be in good shape heading into this game.
