NEW ULM — The Fairmont women's golf team placed second out of six teams at the Big South Conference East Division women's golf tournament held at New Ulm Country Club.
BEA led the way with 359 points, followed by Fairmont (291), Waseca (414), St. Peter (432), New Ulm (479) and Jackson County Central (520).
BEA's Payten Goodahl was the medalist with 83 points, followed by BEA's Rylan Storbeck (86 points), Fairmont's Bryn Gustafson (87 points), BEA's Caitlin Storbeck (98 points) and Waseca's Emma Keith (93 points). points) followed. JACKSON — The Fairmont men's golf team placed fifth out of six teams at the Big South Conference East Division men's golf tournament on Monday.
St. Peter won with 320, followed by New Ulm (342), Blue Earth Area (345), Central Jackson County (346), Fairmont (355) and Waseca (364).
Kaiden Brovold of St. Peter's University was the medalist with a score of 76, followed by teammate Anthony Nikolai in second place with 78 points and Will Fossen of New Ulm University in third place with 80 points. Fairmont's top golfer was Matthew Cohn, who tied for eighth with an 84. At Fairmont, Harmon Schrank tied for 10th with an 86, McLain Anderson tied for 16th with an 88, and Hudson McKean tied for 31st with a 97.
