Egypt's National Telecommunications Institute (NTI) has partnered with Arab Security Consultants (ASC), an agency of Egypt's International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants (EC-Council), to strengthen cooperation in network security and cybersecurity .
EC-Council operates in 145 countries and considers itself the world's largest cybersecurity technology certification body. This agreement will enable the establishment of his EC-Council Academy at NTI, aimed at providing training in his EC-Council network security courses and technologies to NTI students and alumni.
The initiative aims to engage up to 1,000 trainees annually across all NTI branches in different provinces over a period of three years. The Academy also prepares trainees for international certification by the EC-Council.
NTI has access to EC-Council's Essentials series training content through the EC-Council platform. This includes Fundamentals of Ethical Hacking, which covers the fundamentals of ethical hacking, information security, penetration testing, threat and vulnerability assessment, and countermeasures.
Additionally, the curriculum includes Network Defense Essentials, which provides insight into information security and network defense fundamentals such as identification, authentication, authorization, and network security controls. Another course, Fundamentals of Digital Forensics, introduces learners to the basics of computer forensics, covering data acquisition, defeating anti-forensic techniques, investigating attacks and crimes, and more.
According to the partners, the collaboration will facilitate the development of advanced programs by NTI and ASC, aimed at developing expertise in various cybersecurity fields and achieving international certification from the EC-Council.
This is not EC-Council's first foray into the Middle East. In fact, the company recently announced a strategic partnership with his CISO Consultancy, a technology and supply chain services distributor based in Dubai. This is to strengthen our cybersecurity expertise in the Middle East by delivering bespoke solutions, ensuring universal access and fostering the next generation of security advances.
