More information is continually being revealed about EA Sports College Football 25 ahead of the video game's mid-July release date. Earlier this month, we got our first glimpse at the game's cover art and gameplay, and the official trailer has built excitement for EA's first college football game in over a decade.
In addition, in the information disclosure in May, FOIA request by Cllct.com Revealed How much will each school be compensated? 134 FBS schools received a cash prize for participating in the game. According to Cllct.com, the 134 FBS schools are divided into four tiers based on their placement in the Associated Press poll over the past decade, with each tier receiving a set royalty payment. Tier 1 schools (the 13 best schools in college football) receive about $100,000 each for participating in the game. Tier 4 schools receive one-tenth of that amount, about $10,000 in royalties.
Kentucky fell into Tier 2 along with 40 other schools below the top 13, earning $59,925.09. They are famously named to the College Football 25. Also in Tier 2 are the SEC's Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Auburn, Mississippi State, Texas A&M and Missouri, while Arkansas and South Carolina are in Tier 2 and Vanderbilt is the SEC's only Tier 4 school. Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Oklahoma represent the South in Tier 1 and are the highest paid at $99,875.16 each.
