EA Sports has released the official announcement trailer for College Football 25, the company's first NCAA football video game in over a decade.
Set to the iconic Guns N' Roses track, the trailer showcases some of the star players, stadiums, mascots, and traditions that will be included in the highly anticipated game.
The trailer comes just over two months before the game's official release on July 19th. Fans can pre-order the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
“College Football 25” is EA Sports' first NCAA football game since 2013. The company canceled its “NCAA Football'' series after a lawsuit was filed for using players' likenesses without compensation. In 2021, the door opened for a new college football game after the NCAA approved allowing players to profit from the use of their names, images and likenesses.
The new game features 134 FBS schools. More than 11,000 players accepted EA Sports' offer of $600 and a copy of the game in exchange for the use of their likeness.
EA Sports revealed the covers for the Standard and Deluxe editions on Thursday, sparking further hype for the game. Colorado two-way player Travis Hunter, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, and Michigan running back Donovan Edwards are lined up on the standard cover, with an additional group of college stars lined up on the deluxe cover.
