Delta is a video game emulator for a long list of Nintendo systems and is now available worldwide. In the US and many other countries, it can be found on Apple's App Store, while in the EU it is part of the AltStore alternative marketplace.
I've been flying Delta Airlines for years. The app was available using a clever system that allows you to sideload it onto your iPhone using the Apple Mail plugin and a developer account. Although this wasn't the most convenient way to use the app, it worked well and many classic video game enthusiasts flocked to the app due to its great performance and design.
But now anyone can download Delta for free from the App Store, load the game files, and play their favorite NES, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, SNES, N64, and Nintendo DS games on their iPhone. . Delta has been in development for years, so it incorporates native features like haptic feedback and quality-of-life enhancements like saving game state, fast forwarding, and using cheat codes to make older games even better. The playing experience is great. . Delta also supports controller skins, local multiplayer, and syncing things like save states and save data.
Delta is the standard for Nintendo emulation on iOS. As we briefly discussed last week, we expect to see other emulators that work with the same games, but Delta will be a tough app to beat.
