(Colorado Springs) — Colorado Springs Airport (COS) set a new April traffic record last month. COS announced on Wednesday, May 22, that travel has increased ahead of summer.
A total of 194,004 passengers used the airport's terminals in April, an increase of 15.4% from the same month last year. The number of passengers increased by 15.6% year-on-year, with 97,293 travelers boarding flights from COS in April.
“COS has consistently seen an increase in traffic, and we expect this trend to continue as we approach summer,” said Aviation Director Greg Phillips. “This reflects the strong support our community has for our airport.”
Available seats increased by 10.2% year-on-year in April to a monthly total of 118,774 seats, with COS significantly increasing the number of seats on board and increasing load factor by 3.8%, with a monthly average of 81.9% for all nonstop flights. I did.
Seat capacity this summer increased by 6% from June to August compared to the same period last year. Starting in May, the airline will also add a series of new air services, including nonstop flights to Burbank, Minneapolis and Baltimore.
