Unfortunately for the culture wars, left-wing elites are not the only public figures missing the mark on major cultural issues.
Conservative media is finally waking up to the crisis in the video game industry, one of the most influential sectors in the world.Negative reactions from players Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has launched a major investigation and online battle against Sweet Baby Inc., a Canadian narrative development and consulting studio that has been incorporating DEI into various games over the past few years. Many are calling this “Gamergate 2.0.”
Full power of this battle station
SBI is largely responsible for the increasingly prominent elements of modern gaming, influencing several AAA gaming companies. The organization's website states that its mission is to “bring together diverse voices to solve diverse problems, aiming to be additive rather than strictly corrective.” . He continues, “We are part of an inclusive and knowledgeable community of diverse consultants, allowing us to cover a wide range of cultural and sensitivity topics.”
The gaming industry is much more powerful and influential than most people realize. In 2022, revenue was more than triple that of Hollywood and the music industry combined. Left-wing investment giants own astonishing amounts of gaming company stock, such as BlackRock's 9.5% ownership of Electronic Arts.
These investigations caused surprise and frustration from all sectors of the gaming community. It's become too noisy, so daily wires Matt Walsh has joined the fray. But his coverage of the issue received an equally enthusiastic response. He was right to call out this crisis.
This battle is not new
Mr. Walsh argued that SBI is widespread “because it doesn't get a lot of attention.” This assumes gamers have just realized how woke gaming has become. Gamers have long denounced attempts to restrict and censor gaming as biased.
The biggest battles in the gaming world revolve around women. Groups like SBI work with game companies to intentionally make women look masculine, much to the dismay of both men and women.

The game is aimed at all age groups
Walsh's coverage of Gamergate 2.0 reflects his long-held views on gaming media. In a tweet he reposted in 2018, he said: “Video games are sacred because there are so many adults in our country who are obsessed with them. That's why we all see no problem with a child spending all day killing people in a virtual world.” They act like they're crazy when there's nothing wrong with them.”
But video games aren't just for kids, and they aren't always harmful to children. Of the 3.32 billion active gamers, only 20% are under the age of 18.
The argument that playing video games makes children more violent has been proven false for decades. As Walsh acknowledged in an interview, the people making the games aren't the ones playing the video games. Children have been exposed to violence since the beginning of humanity. “The problem with that mindset is that it assumes that the time spent playing games would otherwise be spent on 'better things.' You don't see that kind of discussion about other things people do.” the professor added.

This is a culture war battle we can win. But we need someone conservative who respects the art form. The more we reject the importance of video games, the faster that culture will disappear.
