After struggling in her WNBA debut with 20 points on 33% shooting from the floor and 10 turnovers, Caitlin Clark will take to the court in front of her new home fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis for the first time in the regular season as the Indiana Fever take on the New York Liberty.
Some of Clark's struggles in his debut can be attributed to the fact that the Connecticut Sun, who lost in the WNBA semifinals last season, return nearly the entire roster that allowed the fewest points per game in the WNBA last season. It will be done. Liberty reached the WNBA Finals last season and allowed the league's worst field goal percentage in 2023, so Game 2 will not be an easy matchup. And on Tuesday night, the Liberty won their season opener against the Washington Mystics.

oh? ! Several words were exchanged between Jonquel Jones and Aliyah Boston, and it appears several more players have been drawn into the conflict. Jones called a foul against Boston, which is being reviewed as a hostile act. The two teams will play again on Saturday in Brooklyn (ET tip is 1pm, so the game is very early).
The little shovel pass down low to Katie Lou Samuelson is exactly what Clark does best, and Samuelson may not be ready yet since they haven't played together much yet . It gets prettier as the season progresses.
Greetings from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. There are only a few minutes left before Clark is introduced to his home for the first time. Despite the crowd of fans here, he's already doing better than last season. His average in 2023 was 4,056, with the highest being 7,356 in Aliyah Boston's home debut against the Connecticut Sun.
Caitlin Clark spoke at the pregame press conference before the first home game of the regular season, expressing her awareness of the fans who paid big bucks to attend and the role she has carried as the biggest star on the court since her days at Iowa. He talked about his sense of responsibility.
Caitlin Clark is self-aware. She acknowledged that many families spend large sums of money and make sacrifices to attend games.

WNBA announces all teams will fly to games on chartered flights by May 21st after rough program rollout
The rollout of the WNBA's new charter flight program hasn't gone as smoothly as expected, but things should improve within a week.
After many teams were required to use commercial flights for their first few games, a WNBA spokesperson told The Athletic on Thursday: Starting May 21st, all teams will fly on charter flights for away games. The only exceptions are the Chicago Sky/Indiana Fever and Connecticut Sun/New York Liberty games, which will be bused due to their close distances.
