CAA Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards – April 22nd
Richmond, VA (April 22, 2024) – CAA announces the 2019 Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards for the week starting. April 15th and it ends April 21st. Hofstra graduate faceoff specialist Chase Patterson has been named CAA's Offensive Player of the Week. Additionally, Delaware State senior goaltender Kevin Ellington earned CAA Defensive Player of the Week honors for the third consecutive year. Finally, Fairfield freshman long-stick midfielder Julian Radosic won back-to-back CAA Newcomer of the Week awards.
Offensive Player of the Week
Chase Patterson, Hofstra

Patterson was impressive with the X, hitting .794 with 24 ground balls and helping the Pride go 1-1. The graduate FOGO won 31 of 39 games with two faceoffs and had one goal and three assists for four points. On Tuesday, Patterson hit 19 ground balls, had three points, one goal and two assists for the X, hitting 23-of-30 against No. 8 Yale. His ground balls and points total set career highs, and his faceoff wins tied his previous career best. On Saturday, he had one assist in a win over Hampton, going 8-of-9 on faceoffs and scooping five ground balls.
Defensive player of the week
Kevin Ellington, Delaware

Ellington continued his strong effort between the pipes, making 17 saves in Delaware State's 13-6 win over Drexel on Saturday. The senior goaltender posted a .739 save percentage and added a season-high six ground balls, one of which resulted in a turnover. Ellington blanked the Dragons in the third period, making 11 shots in the first half and six in the second. It was his third consecutive game with 15 or more saves, and his seventh double-digit save record this spring. Additionally, this was the fifth time this year they have attempted to hold an opponent to six or fewer goals.
Rookie of the week
Julian Radosik, Fairfield
Freshman | LSM | Ridgewood, New Jersey / Delbarton
Radosic had one assist and one point with four ground balls and two turnovers as Fairfield defeated Stony Brook 11-10 to qualify for its first CAA Tournament appearance since 2016. The freshman's assist came during Fairfield's 3-0 spurt that tied the game. The game was 7-7 for the first time since 0-0. Additionally, Radosic's second turnover broke the Stags' single-season record and led to the eventual game-winning goal on the ensuing possession. Radosic leads the CAA with 26 turnovers and ranks eighth nationally with 2.00 per game.
