CAA Baseball Player of the Week
Tyler McGregor, Northeastern – Group, 1B – Peabody, MA
McGregor batted .667 (12-18) with seven doubles, two home runs, eight runs scored and 11 RBI during Northeastern's 4-0 week, which included three straight wins against Stony Brook. The first baseman had multiple hits and had at least two RBIs in all four games, including going 4-for-6 with two doubles, two home runs, and four RBIs in the win over Massachusetts State Lowell. He went 8-for-12 (.667) with five doubles and seven RBIs against Stony Brook.
CAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Carlos Martinez, Hofstra – So., RHP – College Point, NY
Martinez held Monmouth to just one run in 6.0 innings with six strikeouts in last Friday's 4-3 win, helping Hofstra clinch a CAA Tournament berth. The right-hander held the first 11 batters he faced, allowed just four hits, earned a four-game decision and improved to 5-1 with a 1.24 ERA in CAA play.
CAA Baseball Rookie of the Year
Ryan Gerety, Northeastern Father, OF – Franklin, MA
Gerety started for Northeastern University last week, batting .500 (4-8) and drawing a walk. The freshman outfielder went 2-for-4 in a win over Lowell, Mass., and went 2-for-4 in Friday's win over Stony Brook. He also had two stolen bases for the Huskies.
