Barrow have parted ways with manager Pete Wilde following a “post-season review” at the end of the 2023-24 League Two season.
The Bluebirds finished the season in eighth place, one point outside the play-off places, but were winless in their final seven games, losing five of them during that period.
Wilde is in charge of National League side Halifax and joined the club in 2022 on a three-year contract.
“During the review it became apparent that the club and Pete had different views about the future direction,” the Barrow club said in a statement.
“So it was mutually agreed that this was the best and most appropriate way to proceed.
“We wish Pete all the best in his future endeavors.”
The club added that all other members of the management team will remain in their positions.
Wilde led his team to seven straight wins in all competitions in October and November amid a strong start to the season.
Barrow were in fifth place at the end of the season with a win over Grimsby in March and had been in contention for a play-off spot for much of the season.
However, a poor performance in the final week of the season meant they missed out on a top seven spot, being overtaken by eventual promoted Crawley Town.
