Bryson Tiller's self-titled album will likely be his last for some time as he focuses on transitioning his career into the video game industry.
Bryson Tiller just released his self-titled album on Friday, April 5th, but it's likely to be his last for a while as he focuses on transitioning his career into the video game industry.
The “Don't” singer told Billboard that he released his fourth studio album with the goal of “getting the public to hear everything I can do” and remain loyal fans. For the Kentucky native, the album is more of a “see you later” than a farewell, considering he plans to take a break from his music career to release a video game he's been working on for three years. And that's natural.
“I want this [Bryson Tiller] It’s going to be the last one for a while,” he told Complex last month. “Whether I perform well or poorly, I've kept saying that. This will probably be the last one for a while. My number one passion is video games, so I just want to take a break.”
“I'm a designer in my spare time. I've been designing games for the past three years. I'm looking into internships at different companies. That's what I want to prioritize after this album comes out,” he says. added.
Tiller hopes to start his own company, Trapsoul Games, in 2023, focus more on developing his business, and spend more time with his two daughters.
“I want to focus on getting closer to my daughters first. My oldest daughter is 10 years old now, and I never tell her she has to work or go to the studio and make an album before we can play together. “I'm tired of it,” he explained.
“I'm tired of telling her that. Game design is so cool because you can do it from anywhere. I could be next to her while she's playing her game, working on mine.” It's just what I like to do. It doesn't feel like work.”
As for when Tiller will announce his debut video game to the gaming industry, he hopes it will be released by later this year, or at the same time as the game's release. grand theft auto 6. He loves it and it's something he plays “every day.”
“I hope this number goes down this year. Otherwise, it would be released in the same year as GTA 6, but I love GTA so I'm not mad about that. No,” he said.
