More than 1,500 private jets were expected to land in Augusta, Georgia, throughout last weekend for the Masters Golf Tournament.
The influx of these private jets created a huge buzz leading up to one of golf's biggest major events.
I grew up in Georgia and watch the Masters every year, but I can't remember ever seeing private jets being talked about so much during the tournament. Last year, it became a hot topic after a few photos went viral on social media, but this year we're going to show you more through a week of practice round play, followed by actual tournament play, at a small airport in Augusta, Georgia. There was even more talk about the number of private jets being accepted.
Private jet travel usage has surged more than 20% compared to pre-pandemic levels. For many, this is not a viable way to travel, but those who have the means to fly this way are not tied down by money.
And it's no wonder that cities that host major sporting events find themselves bracing for a wave of private jets. Expect Miami to be filled with them and yachts at the next big F1 race.
The rich and famous continue to prioritize private jet travel, and for some wealthy travelers who had never stepped foot on a private jet five years ago, it's now a way of life. .
The Four Seasons Private Jet Experience has also just started offering charter flights that can be booked for a limited time. This sector isn't slowing down anytime soon.
If you weren't worried about money, you'd likely take a private jet for most, if not all, of your trips.
If that's not you, I'd love to hear why.
