BlackBerry Ltd. announced the general availability of Cylance Assistant, a generative AI cybersecurity advisor designed to help organizations make faster decisions and stop threats faster with fewer resources. It combines advanced features that leverage Cylance AI capabilities built into the cybersecurity platform.
The company says the advisor provides security analysts with fast, expert guidance and recommendations, analyzing large amounts of data and combining it with threat research to provide recommendations in plain language.
According to BlackBerry, Cylance Assistant assesses, interprets, and suggests the best course of action in real time by understanding context and providing guidance without asking. As a result, security threats such as hostile AI and polymorphic malware can be investigated and appropriately resolved faster. The Assistant uses privacy-preserving and responsible AI principles and does not share customer data to train its models.
“This will take security operations to a new level by stopping more threats and empowering staff to make faster, more informed decisions. , we know where you are in your investigation, so you understand the context and spend less time identifying and remediating a single risk.'' Cylance Assistant leverages Amazon Bedrock, a generative AI service from Amazon Web Services, to help organizations strengthen their cybersecurity operations and achieve better outcomes. Amazon Bedrock offers foundation model options from leading AI providers through a single API for enterprises to build and extend their generative AI applications.
