Bettor Vision is a participant in Cohort 3 of Transform, a data science and AI startup accelerator supported by Deep Tech Ventures at the University of Chicago's Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, in collaboration with the Data Science Institute .
What better place to start a sports betting company than at a sports bar? That's exactly where Bettor Vision co-founders Geoff Doyle and Brett Lanier met and began mapping out their company's vision.
After working in the communications industry for 10 years, Doyle changed careers and entered the sports technology space by joining Wagr, the first social sports improvement app. Meanwhile, Lanier, a West Point graduate, proudly served as an Army officer for more than 20 years. The two met through mutual friends and quickly hit it off over their passion for sports, fantasy, his sport, and his vision for the direction of the industry. After meeting, the two decided to work together and created Bettor Vision.
Bettor Vision provides solutions to growing problems in the sports betting and fantasy sports industry. As the market rapidly expands, sports bettors find themselves using a variety of apps to manage their bets and fantasy teams, creating an overwhelming and disjointed experience. Bettor Vision consolidates these activities into a single platform, streamlining processes and improving user experience.
“Data shows that sports fans currently have around eight apps to manage their wagering, daily fantasy, and in-season fantasy accounts, but no one is combining this activity on one platform. No,” Doyle said. “Bettor Vision streamlines this behavior so users no longer have to check multiple apps to find the best odds, the most attractive promotions, or track all their activity.”
For operators in these industries, this unique synchronization of sports betting, in-season fantasy, and daily fantasy provides a comprehensive view of the consumer experience, making them more effective and targeted compared to their competitors. This allows for a targeted marketing strategy.
Additionally, in sports betting, many time-sensitive products may expire once a match begins or change dynamically during a match. However, because consumer data is fragmented, businesses lack a comprehensive view of consumer behavior, which often results in promotions that miss the mark.
Bettor Vision uses AI to help solve this data-rich problem by providing personalized offers that improve the customer experience. AI is also used to quickly analyze large data sets and provide valuable insights to help consumers make better decisions.
The app has many beta users and the team has already started receiving feedback.
“The feedback we have received so far has been overwhelmingly positive,” Doyle said. “Beta testers with multiple fantasy football accounts were excited about the ability to track all teams in one app. Sports betting consumers only see the best odds based on their linked accounts. We were attracted to our “Sports Betting Kayak'' feature. Users with both betting and fantasy accounts also loved the simplicity of being able to track all activity on the dashboard. ”
Over the next year, Bettor Vision will expand its AI recommendation engine to better understand and respond to user behavior and preferences. Looking even further into the future, the app is the go-to app for passionate sports fans, offering a single resource to manage fantasy rosters and bets, find the best odds, and interact with contenders with friends. We aim to become.
Through Transform, Bettor Vision hopes to gain the tools and leadership needed to lay the foundation for an AI-powered betting recommendation engine. Additionally, the team hopes to build a network across Chicago and develop relationships with investors that will help establish Bettor Vision as a leading sports technology product.
