with 2024 NFL Draft With less than a week left, it's important to comb through all the news coming out of NFL front offices and see through the smokescreens and outright lies.
To do that, the guys at Bet the EDGE welcome NBC Sports and PFF NFL Draft expert Connor Rogers (@ConnorJRogers) to today's episode. Among the topics discussed were some over/underdraft position props.
Michael Penix Jr. O/U 32.5
Rodgers has little doubt the Huskies' signal caller heard his name called on opening day.
“I believe Penix will be a top-15, even top-16 guy. I like to use the Seahawks as a little life raft there…If he goes down this way, someone will be at the back of the first round. It gives you insurance that it's coming.'' Michael Penix. A 5th year option is required. The cost of being a first-round back end, which we saw with the Ravens with Lamar Jackson. I also saw a game between the Packers and Jordan Love. This track record is actually pretty impressive because it gets you noticed…when you're not a top-15 pick in the draft, I doubt anyone will care if a team hides you. They're just like, “Oh, they got him there.” They are going to hide him and raise him up. ”

Tully's Fuaga O/U 13.5
Rodgers heard that Fuaga was starting the team's draft committee.
“I love Fuaga, I love the league. I mean, this is what I love about the under, too. I know nobody's excited about -140 degrees, but when you look at it from his perspective, it's… I think it starts at 7 at Tennessee. I think it's great that the Raiders have a big hole at right tackle when he's been playing for the Jets for 10 years. …The number 14 for the Saints makes a lot of sense, which is why the number is set the way it is…It's hard to find someone who doesn't love his tape and his frame of mind, even playing with him at guard. Even if he has to, so what? He could be borderline All-Pro there.”

Drew Dincik (@whale_capper) joins Alabama's Terrion Arnold. Rodgers likes him, but he didn't hear his name early on the first day.
Therion Arnold O/U 15.5
“I like the over in this game, but I'm scared because the Colts could go to the outside corner at 15. That's not out of bounds here. Now, why I like the over is that the Colts could go to the outside corner at 15. Because I think Kunyon Mitchell is the one to take. I was very surprised when Kunyon Mitchell, the first defenseman selected, was +350 for a long time…Everyone loves Kunyon Mitchell, and he Mitchell has had the best process of any defensive player in this entire draft. I mean, it's not against Arnold, it's just that Mitchell was able to do what Arnold couldn't do. and was the best player at the Senior Bowl. He had an out-of-this-world test at the combine…Arnold is an odd guy because he was a big safety recruit coming out of high school. He plays like a safety at corner. I think he's a really good tackler. He has really good ball skills. Notice the transition to the position. He doesn't anticipate the route combination. His awareness is not where it should be in that position. I thought he would test better. Ta.”
The NFL Draft begins Thursday night on the ESPN family of networks with the first round from Detroit.
