BEMIDJI – The Bemidji High School boys tennis team had three chances in the third set to score the fourth point that led to the team's victory.
The Lumberjacks fell behind 1-0 against St. Cloud Institute of Technology, but won the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches and the No. 4 singles match. Her last three matches went all the way to the third set, all in favor of the Tigers, who lost 4-3.
Dom Arndt became the only player at BHS to beat SCT in singles. He won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1. Brooks Johnson and Peter Masluth won 7-5, 6-2 in No. 1 doubles, and Thomas Harris and Josh Arrell won 6-1, 6-4 in No. 2 doubles.
Bemidji came back to beat Moorhead 5-2 and close out the Triangle. Owen Lappinga, JD Hasbergen and Arndt won their singles matches in straight sets. Johnson teamed with Aller in the No. 2 doubles match and won 6-2, 6-1. In No. 3 doubles, Harris and Blake Friese won 6-0, 6-0.
