Gameplay footage released this week promises that Beaver Stadium's intimidating atmosphere and crowd noise will be some of the best in the upcoming College Football 25 video game, due for release in July.
According to a video released on Friday morning, Beaver Stadium is shown to have the No. 2 overall Stadium Pulse, a game feature in which crowd noise affects the visiting team's performance. The gameplay did not show which stadium boasts the No. 1 overall spot, but did show Georgia at No. 3, Alabama at No. 5, and Michigan and the Big House at No. 16. As with all video games, content revealed prior to release is always subject to change.
The game is expected to be available in mid-July, but player reviews have yet to be released, which is likely to spark new debate among fans and players.
“I'm sure there will be some guys who are going to be upset about their ratings on social media pretty soon,” Penn State quarterback Drew Aller told StateCollege.com. “But I'm really looking forward to it. One of my hobbies outside of football is gaming. I grew up on NCAA '14, all the NCAA games, but especially '14. Around that age, I started to remember video games and really developed a passion for them. So I'm really looking forward to being a part of it. It's surreal to be a part of a video game, but to have it be in the NCAA is really cool. So I'm really looking forward to it. And I'm sure it'll be fun to see the overall results, for sure.”
