Wednesday's game between Golden State and Orlando was supposed to be the first with Draymond Green and the rookie since March 9, as Jonathan Kuminga was sidelined with a sore left knee. Trayce Jackson-Davis (41%) start alongside each other. Unfortunately, the two players didn't have much time to share the court in this game, as Green was ejected less than four minutes into the game. There were no such issues Friday against Charlotte, and the rookie performed well in his second game replacing Kuminga.
Jackson-Davis, who made 9-of-13 from the field, finished with 18 points, eight rebounds, one assist, two steals and three blocked shots in 31 minutes in Friday's 115-97 win. . Although his season-long fantasy value remains low, TJD has shined recently. Over the past two weeks, he's averaged 11.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 2.1 blocks in 27.3 minutes, which ranks him in the top 40 in per-game performance in the 9-cat format, according to Basketball Monster. It is said that it is a good result to enter.
Free throw percentage is the biggest concern for fantasy managers, as Jackson vs. Davis has only made 46.7% of their attempts over the past two weeks. However, he also shot 70.4% from the field, and his overall performance is worth overlooking, especially with Kuminga out. Jackson-Davis will replace Kevon Looney in the rotation at the beginning of the month if the Warriors get their starting forward back. Golden State plays once more in Week 22 and four times in Week 23, so this is the perfect time to add Jackson-Davis if possible.
Take a look at some more of Friday's top picks.
jalen suggs (54%)
Suggs is above the 50% mark on the roster we would like to keep, but he is eligible due to scheduling conflicts. Orlando, which lost by three points to the Clippers on Friday, hosts the Grizzlies on Saturday. Back-to-back games haven't been an issue for Suggs, but the last time he missed was on Feb. 14 against the Knicks. He played 33 minutes against the Clippers, recording 15 points, one rebound, five assists, three steals, two blocks, and two 3-pointers. If Suggs can put up those defensive numbers against the Clippers, fantasy managers should like his potential to provide similar value against the shorthanded Grizzlies.
mitchell robinson (45%)
Robinson returned to action in overtime of Friday's loss to San Antonio after Isaiah Hartenstein fouled out, but appeared to be limping a bit. However, Mitch pushed through the discomfort and ended up playing 20 minutes and recording seven points and 12 rebounds. With his rebounding and defensive potential, Robinson is a solid option in standard leagues unless his ankle is inflamed.
Marvin Bagley III (37%) and corey kispert (28%)
Washington had a difficult night offensively, scoring 87 points on 40.9% shooting in a nine-point loss to the Pistons. But Bagley and Kispert shot the ball well, making 16 of 21 from the field. Bagley, who returned to the starting lineup due to Richaun Holmes' absence, had 15 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one 3-point shot in 27 minutes. As for Kispert, he scored a team-high 23 points with six rebounds and five 3-pointers in 38 minutes. These two players of his already provide tangible fantasy value, and that shouldn't change when the Wizards play a string.
Keon Ellis (18%)
With Kevin Huerter (shoulder) scheduled to undergo surgery at the end of the season, Sacramento didn't want to injure another rotation player. Unfortunately, that happened when the team lost to Dallas, with Malik Monk sidelined with an apparent knee injury. We will learn more about the severity of the injury in the coming days, but now is the perfect time to add Els. He finished with 16 points, six rebounds, one assist, three steals, and four 3-pointers in 38 minutes in the 107-103 loss to the Mavs. Kessler Edwards is likely next in line, but he played just 11 minutes Friday.
Georges Niang (14%)
Niang made 10 of 14 from the field against his former team and scored 25 points, including one blocked shot and five 3-pointers, in Cleveland's three-point win over Philadelphia. Of course, it would have been nice to be able to generate rebounds, but his scoring, 3-point shooting, and playing time are outstanding. Niang's minutes have increased with Caris LeVert out, but he has played at least 24 minutes in 14 consecutive games. While LeVert is out, the Cavaliers welcome the return of Donovan Mitchell, and Niang will be especially expected to break 30 minutes.
cason wallace (Five%), Isiah Joe (3%) and aaron wiggins (1%)
Oklahoma City was once again without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but it didn't matter as they outscored the Suns at home. Wiggins started in place of SGA and played 26 minutes, recording 15 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 3 3-pointers. Wallace (16/4/3/0/1 in 32 minutes, 4 3-pointers) and Joe (14/3/1, 4 3-pointers in 22 minutes) are among the few coaches to include them. It brought solid value. Oklahoma City concludes its Week 22 schedule in New York on Sunday, but if Gilgeous-Alexander remains sidelined, Wiggins, Wallace and Joe will all be playing deep league managers.
