Authorities in the New York capital region said they were investigating the cyberattack ahead of Memorial Day weekend. Albany County Mayor Daniel McCoy said in a statement to Recorded Future News that he is working with the state's Homeland Security and Emergency Services Cyber Incident Response Team after discovering a potential issue with the county's network. “We are currently investigating a possible cybersecurity breach,” McCoy said. “Anyone wanting to apply for a certificate of residency online will no longer be able to do so.
