Ascension Health System continues to recover from a cybersecurity event that disrupted some services.
A spokesperson for Ascension released the following statement earlier today:: “Ascension previously reported that it had suffered a ransomware attack that caused disruption to patient care within its network. Our priority remains to provide secure patient care. We worked around the clock over the weekend to respond to the ransomware incident that affected our systems. We are focused on safely restoring our systems. We are making good progress, but it will take time to return to normal operations. We will update our patients and communities so that they can plan accordingly once our systems and services are back online. We have established a dedicated website to share the latest information across the system and will be expanding the site this week to provide up-to-date information on health services relevant to specific regions.”
