Champions League is back! After a short break, the quarterfinals are ready to kick off on Tuesday. Arsenal, who have progressed through the Round of 16, will face Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium on April 9th at 3pm ET. Arsenal's last three Champions League meetings have been decided by just one goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
It may have taken a few extra minutes to get the job done, but Arsenal finally got the result they wanted in March. They didn't let Porto play once and won 1-0. Before the end of the match, the referee handed out a total of three yellow cards, with Arsenal's William Saliba and Kai Havertz and Porto's Kepler Pepe all being shown cards, and the match looked a little rough at times.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich played against Lazio in March and won 3-0. It was another great day for Harry Kane as he scored two goals for his team.
It was Arsenal's fourth straight home win, improving their record to 5 wins, 1 loss, and 2 draws. These victories were mainly due to their offensive performance in that section, scoring 13 goals in four contests. As for Bayern Munich, the win improved their record to 6 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw.
With the field narrowed down to just eight teams, the pressure is really starting to mount. Check out CBS Sports after the match for a detailed match breakdown, commentary and other Champions League content.
