Aiden Pouncey recently received an offer from Rutgers University football and has expressed interest, with the four-star defensive back considering visiting Big Ten programs this summer.
Pouncey, a versatile and explosive player who plays both wide receiver and cornerback at Winter Park High School (Winter Park, Fla.), is a 2026 prospect who received an offer from Rutgers University over the weekend.
Pouncey, who plans to enroll in the class of 2026, is ranked No. 128 in the 247Sports rankings. In addition to a recent offer from Rutgers, he also holds offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, Florida State, Georgia, Illinois, Louisville, Penn State, Oregon, South Carolina, Syracuse and Tennessee, among others.
Additionally, he is ranked as the No. 152 recruit in the nation by the ESPN 300.
The offer was conveyed to Pouncey during a conversation with head coach Greg Schiano and running backs coach Damiere Shaw last weekend.
“I'm really excited,” Pouncey told Rutgers Wire last week. “They haven't offered a lot of guys. They said they want to sign the guys they offer. I'm excited to hopefully get a visit this summer.”
“Their message was that I fit their culture and they only take players they want to sign.”
Last season, he recorded 21 total tackles and four interceptions.
Speaking with Rutgers staff gave Pouncey an opportunity to learn more about the program, and he appreciated the chance to interact with the head coach as part of the offer process.
“He seems like a really genuine coach,” Pouncey said of Schiano, “and he cares about getting good people into the program and building that culture.”
