Sponsored by the Raising Canes, the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission and Cosse & Silmon Orthodontics, online voting for the Shreveport Times' High School Athlete of the Week has begun. The study includes student-athletes who play Louisiana high school sports other than football from her 15 schools in north Louisiana.
Those students, schools, or fans of a particular sport can vote for their favorite sport on shreveporttimes.com under “Sports.” Voting will continue until Thursday night and the winner will be announced on Friday.
Weekly winners will receive a duffel bag, lunch set, and additional swag courtesy of Raising Cane's. Previous winners include Elena Pizarro of Caddo Magnet, Claire Allen and Brody Hutchison of Benton, and Cicely Fontaine of Airline.

These athletes were selected because of their performance in the past week or because their names were submitted by their coaches.
