Harlingen, Texas (Valley Central) — The City of Brownsville announces a groundbreaking partnership with Lit Fiber.
According to the city, this partnership represents a significant step forward in the city's mission to provide high-quality internet service to residents and businesses.
To celebrate this partnership, the city will host a week-long series of educational and informational seminars. That includes a ribbon cutting for the Lit Fiber Demo Center, located at 744 E. Levee Street.

The seminar is scheduled for March 26-28 and will feature a variety of activities aimed at educating and engaging with the benefits and opportunities offered by Lit Fiber.
Tuesday, March 26th, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch and Learn: City of Brownsville and CrowdStrike
This learning opportunity will feature a seminar on “Thwarting Modern Attacks: Anomalous Security and Enhanced Email Security.” This is a collaboration between the City of Brownsville's Information Technology Department and his CrowdStrike, a leader in global cybersecurity with an advanced cloud-native platform to protect endpoints, cloud workloads, identities and data. This presentation and discussion was held in partnership with.
This event will be held at the City of Brownsville's Communications and Marketing Department/Convention and Tourism Complex located at 1312 E. Adams St. in downtown Brownsville.
A ribbon cutting and panel discussion will be held at the Lit Fiber Demo Center on Wednesday, March 27th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This event will include a ribbon cutting for the Lit Fiber Demo Center. This will include an open house and will be highlighted by a panel discussion about the advancements and enhancements that Brownsville residents and businesses will experience with new internet services. Lit Fiber service experience and connectivity throughout Brownsville. and the success of Lit Fiber in other municipalities. Food and drinks will be provided for those who attend.
