developer of disney dreamlight valley is developing a new survival/life sim/action RPG hybrid game based on Dungeons & Dragons.
On March 14th, Gameloft partnered with Dungeons & Dragons licensee Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro to develop a game set in the Forgotten Realms, the same world as Baldur's Gate 3. Then he announced. The upcoming project is said to have “unique cooperative gameplay” and will take players on an adventure, where the rich lore of this legendary franchise will be explored at almost every turn. , encounter real-time survival in a unique campaign of friendship, and danger.”
The currently unnamed project appears to be in its early stages, but the studio has released what appears to be concept art featuring three different characters in a high-fantasy setting at a camp overlooking a distant castle and dragon. There's no release window yet, so you might have to wait a bit to learn more about this. However, we do know that it will be released on PC and consoles.

It will be interesting to see what Forgotten Realms' “survival life sim action RPG” turns out to be. We're imagining something like a cross between Baldur's Gate 3, Animal Crossing, and Palworld. The developers have already completed the life sim part after all the work they did on Disney's answer to The Sims, Disney Dreamlight Valley. We hope to do more of that with a D&D flavor in this upcoming project.
