As more consumers choose experiences over possessions and add destinations to their travel wish lists, travel-related gifts, luggage and resort wear are growing in popularity. Now, Inspired Home Show is capitalizing on this trend with a new trade show aimed at the travel industry.
The Travel Gear + Luggage Expo will debut at the 2025 Inspired Home Show in March next year and will showcase products from a wide range of companies offering products in the travel goods industry.
The Inspired Home Show 2025 will take place March 2-4 at Chicago's McCormick Place complex. According to the International Housewares Association (IHA), the show will feature more than 1,600 exhibitors across five exhibits in the North and South Halls. The Travel Gear + Luggage Expo will be located at the top of the escalators leading from the South Hall's first-floor registration area into the hall. According to an IHA release, this placement will allow buyers easy and direct access to this new section of the show.
“The buying community, including the major retailers on IHA's Retail Advisory Committee, have been calling for us to expand the show's categories by including products relevant to their industry,” said IHA President and CEO Derek Miller.
“The Inspired Home Show 2023 was a huge success, with over 60 travel goods companies exhibiting. After a year off to explore other opportunities, travel goods exhibitors are eager to return to Chicago to meet the many specialty and key buyers who attend the show each year, as well as their GMMs and DMMs,” Miller added. “With the new focus and elevated positioning of the travel goods category, and the show's proven ability to attract major and international retailers, we expect the Travel Gear + Luggage Expo to more than double in size in 2023.”
IHA trade magazine, Homepage Newswill also feature travel products “frequently and consistently” to align with additional content on the show, an initiative that Miller said will bring company, brand and new product news to the forefront of the industry every day.
