1. CrowdStrike, a Cloudflare partner: CrowdStrike and Cloudflare are expanding their strategic partnership by connecting their platforms to “strengthen security from device to network, accelerate Security Operations Center (SOC) transformation, and prevent breaches at scale.” According to the companies, the partnership combines Cloudflare One's cloud-native, zero trust protection and connectivity with CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM on the CrowdStrike Falcon cybersecurity platform.
2. Advances in Threat Intelligence: Centripetal is expanding its services by adding CleanINTERNET DNS to its product line to proactively protect businesses from web-based cyber threats. Unlike other DNS filtering products that rely solely on blocklists, Centripetal claims CleanINTERNET DNS is the “first solution” to leverage advanced threat intelligence from multiple providers to proactively prevent users from accessing malicious websites and harmful content.
3. Industry recognition: Resecurity has been recognized in the prestigious Frost & Sullivan “Global External Risk Mitigation and Management Market 2023” report. The annual report is a key indicator of market trends, highlighting the most influential vendors and tools shaping the cybersecurity and risk management landscape. The inclusion is a validation of Resecurity's innovative approach and key role in the space, the company said.
4. Report reveals cybersecurity negligence: RSM partnered with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to release the U.S. Mid-Market Business Index Special Report, Cybersecurity 2024. According to RSM, the report highlights that many companies are letting their guard down amid fatigue from years of constantly hearing about risks and attacks. The data shows that 28% of mid-market executives report that their companies experienced a data breach in the past year, matching the all-time high recorded in the 2021 RSM survey results. Since last year's survey, reported breaches at small mid-size businesses (less than $10 million to $50 million in revenue) increased from 12% to 20%, while breaches at large businesses ($50 million to $1 billion in revenue) increased from 28% to 37%.
5. Cyber Education for Women Receives Grant: The Center for Internet Security has awarded its second Alan Paller Laureate Program grant to Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS), a nonprofit organization that provides accessibility and opportunity for women in cybersecurity. WiCyS will use the grant to help fund its Security Training Scholarship program, a skills development program designed to uncover hidden talent and increase diversity in the cybersecurity workforce. The grant will also enable WiCyS to offer courses on CIS Critical Security Controls.
6. Acquisition Announcement: Pinnacle Technology Solutions, a US hybrid IT solutions provider, has acquired Edmond, Oklahoma-based Pinnacle Business Systems. According to a prepared statement, “From applications and cloud to intelligent infrastructure, cybersecurity and managed services, both companies are focused on serving the diverse technology needs of customers.”
7. Zscaler keeps moving: Zscaler on Thursday reported fourth-quarter revenue and profit that beat expectations. The company's shares rose 14% after the close as businesses ramped up spending on cybersecurity and network solutions to combat complex online threats. The cloud-based security solutions provider now expects fourth-quarter revenue of $565 million to $567 million. Zscaler now sees fourth-quarter adjusted earnings per share of 69 cents to 70 cents, down from its previous forecast of 68 cents. (Source: Reuters)

Supply Chain Security Release: Apexanalytix, a global supply chain risk management data, software and services provider, has launched Cyber Risk, a solution that the company says automatically assesses the cybersecurity posture of all suppliers, continuously monitors the dark web to uncover risk exposure and responds in real time to threats impacting suppliers.
