EA Sports Finally, official gameplay of the new College Football 25 video game has been released.
EA Sports released a roughly five-minute video Friday showcasing the game's elements and features, including the names, images and likenesses of many of its players, which has prevented the company from producing the fan-favorite game every year since 2013.

Narrated by ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit (who also appeared at the game), the video kicked off with a shot of Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II, who led the nation in rushing yards last season, and also featured footage of Ohio State receiver Emeka Egbuka making a toe-tap catch on the sideline and even the Air Force's famous triple-option offense.
Among the features shown off was a new “attrition” system, which tracks injuries suffered by players during a match and indicates how likely they are to be injured again based on their condition. There are also specific player abilities, or power-ups, to differentiate the best players in the game from the average ones. Each team has a specific playbook and home-field advantage based on the difficulty of real-world away games.
Michigan running back Donovan Edwards, one of three cover athletes along with Colorado's Travis Hunter and Texas' Quinn Ewers, was also shown receiving a handoff from quarterback Alex Orji. Cornerback Will Johnson also appears on video, intercepting a pass from Ewers.
But gameplay footage specifically showed pros and cons for Michigan, including Orji throwing an interception later against USC, and also showed new Big Ten programs UCLA and Washington, along with an animation of Wisconsin.
EA Sports' new game is set to launch on July 19 and will be the first in the series since “NCAA Football 14” in 2013. The game's official return was announced ahead of the 2021-22 college football season, which marks the first game of the NIL era.
Each player who participated in the game received $600 and a free copy of the game.
