Sports Illustrated Swimsuit is celebrating its 60th anniversary with the launch of a digital edition and Alix Earle on its first cover.
The “Hot Mess” podcast host and TikTok content creator made her runway debut at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show in South Beach during Miami Swim Week, which runs from May 29 to June 3, and also landed a new digital cover. The issue will be available across Sports Illustrated platforms starting Monday, June 3.
Sports Illustrated magazine has announced the cover stars for its 2024 Swimsuit Issue, ranging from Kansas City businesswoman and NFL player wife Brittany Mahomes to “CBS Mornings” host Gayle King, who will take center stage at nearly 70 years old.
Performers will also include Chanel Iman, Kristen Harper, hosts Kamie Crawford, Katie Austin, Louisiana State University gymnast Olivia “Livi” Dunn, Jenna Sims and issue icon and actress Kate Upton.

There will also be a trilogy of special collectible covers shot during the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 60th Anniversary Legends shoot, which celebrates the franchise's 60th anniversary. Legends cover stars include Lori Harvey, Mae Musk, Nina Agdal, Winnie Harlow, trans activist Leina Bloom, model Camille Kostek, '80s icon Christie Brinkley, supermodel Tyra Banks, soccer star Megan Rapinoe, media mogul Martha Stewart, WNBA legend Sue Bird and lifestyle guru Molly Sims.
The magazine said the move to digital covers will allow it to feature swimsuit features more regularly, while the swimsuit issue will continue to come out annually.
“Our goal is to take the SI Swimsuit brand to new heights while staying true to our tradition of celebrating beauty, diversity and important stories,” said Sports Illustrated Swimsuit's renowned editor MJ Day. “With our new digital edition, we're keeping up with a rapidly evolving media landscape while also providing even more opportunities for talent to share their stories and upcoming projects with our dedicated readers.”
