BENGALURU: L&T Technology Services Ltd (LTTS) has announced the establishment of a Cyber Security and Cyber Crime Prevention Center for the Government of Maharashtra to tackle cyber crime incidents and assist in investigations.

As part of the $100 million contract with the Maharashtra State Cyber Authority, LTTS will also design a cybersecurity system for the state with KPMG Assurance and Consulting Services LLP as its forensic partner.

The program will see the Digital Threat Analysis Center and Center of Excellence equip forensic teams with deepfake detection systems, mobile malware forensics, object detection with support for cryptocurrencies and blockchain, drone and social media forensics, image enhancement, audio analysis, and more. The company said that as part of the project, its Central Emergency Response Team (CERT) will work on immediate response to cyber incidents through tools such as data breach detection tools, data collection from the darknet, and malware analysis systems. A security operations center will also be established to protect critical infrastructure.
