Attorney General Tim Griffin announced Tuesday (May 21) that he will host a free cybersecurity summit at the State Capitol Convention Center in Little Rock on October 7-8, 2024.
The summit will feature keynote speaker Jen Easterly, director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
“While many Arkansas-specific concerns will be addressed, this highly anticipated summit will feature some of the top experts in the cybersecurity field and will garner national and international attention. I am especially excited to have CISA Director Jen Easterly as our keynote speaker. I have known Jen for a long time, and no one in government knows more about cybersecurity than she does,” said Griffin.
The summit will be held in conjunction with the 5th Annual Forge Institute Cyber Summit, also held at the State Capitol Convention Center.
“Cybersecurity has become increasingly important as online technology advances. My office regularly addresses cybersecurity issues related to fraud, data breaches, sexual exploitation and other online criminal activity, and we're on the front lines of this fight every day,” said Griffin. “I'm a strong believer in the power of collaboration, so over two days in October, I'll be convening experts, stakeholders, policymakers, executives and the public. Some of the presentations will be held in collaboration with the Forge Institute.”
“We are also proud to work with our private sector partners at Forge Laboratories. Their cybersecurity expertise and capabilities are a valuable resource for our nation, and we believe they will continue to work with strong, Arkansas-based companies like Forge. “Working with the organization makes sense for our event,” he added.
The Cybersecurity Summit is free and open to the public, but attendees must register in advance, which you can do by clicking here.
