Six years on, the government-backed UK Cyber Security Council is taking a multi-pronged approach to building professionalism in the industry. Board Chair Claudia Natanson spoke about the Council's journey to date, its role in shaping industry standards, and its efforts to promote diversity and close the skills gap.

The Council provides a self-regulatory framework to ensure the ethical and trustworthy use of cybertechnology, and introduces professional standards and charters in areas such as security architecture and risk auditing to ensure excellence in the field. is defined.
“These standards must be of the highest quality, and when we publish, create, and use them, we ensure that people trust how we use cyber, and that we trust how we use cyber. “We need to make sure that there is ethics and integrity within it so that we understand that we can protect our country,” Natanson said.
