MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Raleigh-Durham International Airport set a new record earlier this week due to the large influx of travelers into the city over Mother’s Day and Graduation weekend.
RDU officials said the airport broke a single-day record on Monday with nearly 59,000 passengers passing through the terminal that day.
This is a 6.1% increase over the previous record set in October 2023, officials said.
