In response to Carolyn Copeland's letter, I am sorry that you and your husband were unable to have children. There are millions of children around the world who desire loving families that last for generations.
Roe v. Wade is about women's health and women's rights. It has nothing to do with limiting the number of babies available for adoption.
It says a lot about you that some women had babies just to receive welfare. They probably didn't believe in abortion either.
The reasons why a woman chooses to have or not have children are her own decisions, not yours or the government's. As a society, we need to better value the small gifts of God that live within us every day.
Arizona ranks 4th worst in the nation for prenatal care and 45th in the nation for education. Let's start there. Give those children the ability to be the ones who discover cures for cancellation and other deadly diseases.
I admire your beliefs, but please respect all women's beliefs. Think about this. What if we reversed the scenario and the government only allowed her two children per family? Are you furious then? i hope so.
Neither the government nor you have the right to control a woman's body. My body is my choice, not yours.
