Pollination, a climate-focused investment and advisory firm, announced the appointment of Abhay Pande as senior advisor to lead its transition finance advisory practice.
In his new role, Mr. Pande will support the company's clients in investing and financing their transition strategies, easing the path to deploying climate and nature solutions to drive change, Pollination said. The company added that the new hires come as companies across all industries seek to adopt more sustainable practices and transition funding becomes increasingly important.

Mr. Pande has nearly 30 years of experience in energy and power investment banking, private equity investments and corporate strategy consulting, overseeing over $50 billion in corporate financings, debt and equity issuances, and over $50 billion in M&A transactions. and joined the pollination. Previous roles include managing director at private equity firm American Capital, partner in American Capital's energy and infrastructure private equity funds, and managing director of U.S. energy investment banking. He spent 16 years in Citigroup's investment banking division, including as a managing director. He is co-head of the group's energy, power and chemicals investment banking division in Asia and head of its Southeast Asia industrial division.
