online travel agency in india Make My Trip Limited (NASDAQ:MMYT) reported fourth-quarter 2024 adjusted sales of $212.53 million, up from $166.11 million in the year-ago quarter and beating analyst consensus estimates of $197.42 million. I reported that it was better.
Adjusted EPS was $0.38, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $0.20.
Revenues increased due to continued growth in demand for international travel within India and abroad.
On a constant currency basis, airline ticket sales business revenue increased 42.9% year-on-year in CC to $55.08 million, hotel and package business revenue increased 30.0% in CC to $105.48 million, and bus ticket sales business revenue increased CC year-on-year. Sales increased by 27.1% to $105.48 million. 23.8 million, and other businesses increased 117.6% to $18.53 million in CC.
Total bookings increased 23.0% year-on-year to $2.04 billion. Adjusted operating income increased 70.4% year over year to $32.43 million.
MakeMyTrip had $607.8 million in cash and equivalents at the end of March.
“Demand for leisure and business travel in India has surpassed pre-pandemic levels, and Indians are embracing the call to travel with renewed enthusiasm,” CEO Rajesh Magow said.
