The Dean's Office at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business is transitioning from economics to finance. DeMarzo teaches corporate finance and financial modeling
DeMarzo received his Ph.D. He earned his research master's degree in operations from Stanford University in the 1980s. He also founded and serves as faculty co-director of the Stanford LEAD Online Business Program.

Mr. DeMarzo's research interests are in the areas of corporate finance, asset securitization, financial contracts, and regulation.
