We successfully survived Red XIII's ordeal in Cosmo Canyon and learned about Gi. Now Bugenhagen is asking for help finding an ancient spring of life that has dried up. Here are the locations of all sources of life in the “From Wherece Life Flows” quest: Final Fantasy VII (FF7) reproduction.
How to start where life flows Quest FF7 new life
“From Where Life Flows” is a sidequest for. FF7 new life This will be available from the bulletin board late in Chapter 10 after completing all major story elements of Cosmo Canyon. To start the quest, head to the Observatory and talk to Bugenhagen next to the bookshelf on the first floor. He asks you to analyze some sources of life.
Although Bugenhagen doesn't provide detailed instructions, he does provide a small map to help you locate the Fountain of Life. This map is of little use, so instead, here are the direct locations of all the Fountains of Life in From Where Life Flows. A total of 5 Lifesprings must be found and scanned. Each Fountain of Life is guarded by a wooden gate, and you must fight off any monsters that approach.
If the monster destroys the gate protecting the Lifespring, the monster will rush in and destroy the Lifespring crystal, making it impossible to collect the necessary data. You can progress through the quest, but the reward you receive at the end will be reduced.
Where to find lifesprings
From the place where life flows, the place of the fountain of life #1
The first LifeSpring research station is located in the lower valley of Cosmo Canyon. Head straight northeast to the Dry Oasis Tower at the base of the canyon. As you start running toward the Lifespring Gate, you should soon be able to see it from a distance.
From the place where life flows, the place of the fountain of life #2
Lifespring Research Station No. 2 is located in the ruins in the center west. If you fast travel to Phenomenon Intel 1, run forward a bit and climb the stairs on the left to quickly reach this lifespring. Alternatively, you can fast travel to the nearby Chocobos stop and follow the short path to the ruins behind it.
From the place where life flows, the place of the fountain of life #3
Lifespring Research Station No. 3 is located across from the second Lifespring location. Fast travel to the nearby Chocobo stop and turn around, but instead of going right through the ruins, hang left and go down. Alternatively, if you've already been to the area, fast traveling to Gliding Range No. 31 will place you almost directly in front of the Lifespring gate.
In my experience, this Fountain of Life has the most fragile gates, breaking after just a few hits from attacking Sahagin. I recommend using Yuffie's Wind Current ability to quickly pull all enemies away from the gate, then spam Blindside to prevent enemies from returning to the gate.
From the place where life flows, the place of the fountain of life #4
To reach Lifespring Research Station No. 4, head to the Gliding Range Tower in the middle of the canyon, then turn around and run forward a little. The Lifespring gate is on the right, halfway up the cliff.
From the place where life flows, the place of the fountain of life #5
Lifespring Research Station No. 5 is the most hidden of all the lifesprings in From Wherece Life Flows, and can be a little confusing to reach if you're not familiar with the chocobo's gliding range . If you have already mapped the area, fast travel to the Chocobo stop on the south cliff and turn left.
If you're new to the area, you might want to start south near the dilapidated ship and then run up the side of the cliff to Gliding Field No. 6. From here, follow the path as the glide field winds upwards. Eventually, you will arrive at the last glide field (No. 15). From there, follow the path upwards and turn right.
This should end the “From Wherece Life Flows” quest. FF7 new life. As a reward, you'll receive a manuscript to enhance Cait Sith's Folio, which will bring you a little closer to Red XIII. This is also a prerequisite for the side quest “Victim of Circumstance”, which will become available a little later.
