It's been nearly a decade since the final version of the NCAA football video game was released, but it still feels like only a few months have passed. EA Sports has officially released the cover athletes and other details for the upcoming EA Sports College video game.
Three SEC quarterbacks, Quinn Ewers, Jalen Milroe, and Carson Beck, will be joined by Michigan running back Donovan Edwards, Colorado cornerback/WR Travis Hunter, and Ohio State running back Quinshon Beck. He appears alongside Judkins.
EA Sports has also started a countdown to the game's release, which ends on May 16, 2024.
Earlier this week, it was leaked that LSU sent a thread of assets to EA Sports for use in an upcoming video game.
The most notable information was the renewal of the Tulane rivalry, complete with basketball and baseball logos hinting at future NCAA games, Tiger Stadium's 100th anniversary badge, and Tiger rugs. The two teams have not played each other since 2009, but if the two teams face off in a video game, it will be declared a rivalry game.
We'll probably get more information about the game at next week's unveiling, but the latest news is exciting to say the least.
While it's exciting to see such an iconic franchise return, you can't help but think of all the players you weren't able to play with. It would have been great to have Jaeden Daniels passing to players like Malik Nabors and Brian Thomas Jr. Playing the 2019 National Championship team would have been unfair given the firepower on both sides of the football. This resurgence of video games is great for us, not only as players but also as fans. Because NIL will benefit from having his likeness displayed in-game, which will be an overall win.
