BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — The Bend Parks and Recreation District will open registration for summer recreation programs and summer/fall sports leagues on March 18, 19 and 20.
Registration for the program opens from mid-June to August.
- Monday, March 18, 6 a.m.: Registration opens for recreational, strength, and sports camps and programs. This includes summer camps, arts and crafts, sports, technology, the outdoors, cooking, and more.
- Tuesday, March 19th, 6 a.m.: Registration begins for swim lessons and aquatic programs. This includes lessons for youth and adults.
- Wednesday, March 20, 6 a.m.: Registration opens for sports leagues. These include adult cornhole, adult fall softball, adult golf, adult kickball, adult roller hockey, youth flag football, preschool soccer, youth soccer, youth roller hockey, and middle school tennis. Contains leagues.

Patrons who have not logged into their online accounts in the past 30 days are strongly encouraged to log in now to ensure they are able to log in and register for the March 18, 19, and 20 recreation program . Recommended preparations include adding programs to your wish list in your online registration account and noting the start dates of programs of interest.
“The opening of summer registration is our busiest time of the year, including summer camps, additional swim lesson sessions, popular adult sports leagues, and more,” said Recreation Services Director Matt Mercer. “It is also important to note that our largest youth fall sports program, soccer, is opening. Although soccer begins in the fall, registration is now open and we look forward to setting new records each year.” It will be full to capacity.”
Once registration opens each morning at 6 a.m., patrons are encouraged to register online or in person at one of the following locations:
- District Office: 799 SW Columbia St. – Open 6 a.m. (March 18-20 only)
- Juniper Swim & Fitness Center: 800 NE 6th St. – Opens at 5:30 a.m.
- Larkspur Community Center: 1600 SE Reed Market Rd. – Opens at 6 a.m.
- Pavilion: 1001 SW Bradbury Way – Open at 6am (March 18-20 only)

Scholarships will be provided to those who meet the conditions. BPRD encourages community members to apply early to ensure their applications are processed in time for registration. Last year, approximately 3,200 people received financial support and participated in programs that provide enrichment activities and contribute to a physically active community.
Additionally, please note that any old balance on your household account must be paid in full before enrolling in the program.
