Cybersecurity startup Treacle has raised Rs 4,000 crore in a pre-seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures. The funds will be utilized to strengthen technology and business development, marketing and administrative expenses, partnerships and expansion in the Indian market.
Born out of FIRST's IHub program, IIT Kanpur (Treacle) specializes in defensive security. The co-founders are led by Subhasis Mukhopadhyay (CEO), Subhajit Manna (CTO) and Partha Das (COO), combining decades of collective expertise in cybersecurity and software development. Subhasis brings his eight years of experience and distinguished research acumen in defensive cyber security and is at the forefront of innovation. Subhajit has completed his B.Tech in ECE and he has 7 years of experience in OT System Security and his DevOps, ensuring technical excellence. Partha holds his BCA degree and is a certified ethical hacker, leveraging his 11+ years of IT and cybersecurity experience to drive operational efficiency and product development. Their diverse skill sets work together to advance Treacle's mission to pioneer cybersecurity solutions.

Treacle has achieved significant milestones since its founding. Notably, they secured grants such as C3iHub grant and SISFS grant totaling Rs 2.6 million in 2021 and 2022 respectively. Additionally, Treacle said he represented India under DPIIT and participated in a sponsored delegation trip to Dubai in 2022. Additionally, from the Ministry of Communications, Government he won the DCIS 2023 grant worth Rs 2.5 million and won the AWS Campus Fund Grand Challenge 2023. Selected as Best Student-Led Startup.
