Selma native speaks at national cybersecurity event

GlaxoSmithKline's Assistant General Counsel and Selma native Dondi West participated in a panel of cybersecurity and legal experts at the 2024 Rivest, Shamir & Adleman (RSA) Conference in San Francisco. .
This panel, titled “Navigating the Legal Landscape of Generative AI in Cybersecurity,” will discuss the growing use of generative AI in the world of cybersecurity, from 8:30 to 9:20 a.m. PDT Tuesday. The complex legal and risk management considerations surrounding this were discussed.
West has a strong background in cybersecurity, advising senior technology, digital, and security leaders on cybersecurity issues at global companies such as GSK, TikTok, and Microsoft. Mr. West has a background in both cybersecurity and law, giving him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities presented by genAI.

The RSA Conference, running through Thursday at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, is a global event where the cybersecurity community gathers to discuss current and future concerns, and access experts to explore the latest ideas and solutions.
