The Summer Olympics are being held in Paris this year, with nearly two million tourists expected to visit the French capital for the event, but a new invasion is brewing. Taylor Swift.
reported by bloomberg Taylor's four Ella's Tour concerts, to be held outside Paris from May 9th to May 12th, are drawing five times as many Americans to France as the summer convention. This was announced by New York-based luxury travel company Embark Beyond. Jack EzonThe Embark co-founder told Bloomberg: “I didn't expect it at all… She's so much overshadowed the Olympics.”
Ezon said his company has organized more than 200 trips to Paris for concert attendees. One-third of them are a mother-daughter duo, and they are making shopping plans. Mr Ezon said his clients were staying in luxury hotels, and 20% of them had booked extended visits to Europe after the concert, with some traveling to London and the south of France.
On the other hand, Bloomberg lower than expected Due to Olympic demand, some vacation rentals have cut prices and hotel prices have also fallen by 30%.
As for why so many Americans travel to Europe to see Taylor, it's because of European laws that limit the resale value of concert tickets. Tickets aren't as prohibitively expensive as they are in the United States, so it can sometimes be cheaper to travel abroad to see certain concerts.
Bloomberg estimated that Taylor's concerts contributed $4.3 billion to the U.S. gross domestic product last year.
